On our
sketchcrawl at the Architectural Heritage Center I found someone to sketch who was guaranteed not to fidget or become embarrassed at my staring. She sat patiently while I studied her to my heart's content. I've been working mostly in pen and ink and watercolor recently, but graphite is hard to beat for a satisfying values study.
Excellent drawing! The perspective is difficult, I think. The values are wonderful - 3-D!
ReplyDeleteThis is really good. I love all the shadows.

Yes difficult perspective, very well done.
ReplyDeleteSometimes it's just so nice to pick up a pencil again - and what a challenging perspective! Great study.
ReplyDeleteShe is lovely! Focusing on one part of one object is so effective and you really created such effective 3-D modeling.
ReplyDeleteYes, the perspective was tricky and the drawing took me quite awhile. At one point I started getting frustrated with all the adjustments I had to do, but decided to let myself take my time, and that's when it became a satisfying study. Thanks for your comments!
